Services

Dental Care
Regular dental cleanings are important in maintaining not only your pet’s teeth and gums, but his or her overall health as well. During your pet’s dental cleaning procedure, we perform a comprehensive oral exam including dental charting and dental probing, followed by scaling and polishing. Scaling your pet’s teeth allows plaque buildup to be removed both above and below the gum line. Polishing is important as it creates a smooth tooth surface that is more resistant to future plaque buildup.

Surgery
There is no such thing as routine surgery, as general anesthesia for any procedure carries potential risks. Utilizing our highly skilled technical staff as well as our state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, we do everything we can to assure safe anesthetic procedures. Our doctors provide the following surgical services (including, but not limited to):
– Ovariohysterectomy (spay)
– Castration (neuter)
– Soft Tissue Surgery (such as mass removals, biopsies, and other skin testing)
– Dental Surgery

Mites,Fleas,Tick and heartworm Prevention
Preventives kill heartworm larvae before they have a chance to grow and mature into adult heartworms. A number of heartworm preventives are available to pet owners today. Some heartworm preventives contain additional ingredients that will control other parasites, such as roundworms or hookworms. A monthly preventive should be given to all pets. Remember that mosquitoes can get indoors, so even though your pet may not go outside, your pet is still susceptible.

Vaccinations
Vaccines are products designed to trigger protective immune responses and prepare the immune system to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines stimulate the immune system’s production of antibodies that identify and destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body.
Why should I vaccinate my pet?
– Vaccinations prevent many pet illnesses.
– Vaccinations can help avoid costly treatments for diseases that can be prevented.
– Vaccinations prevent diseases that can be passed between animals and also from animals to people.
– Diseases prevalent in wildlife, such as rabies and distemper, can infect unvaccinated pets.
In many areas, local or state ordinances require certain vaccinations of household pets.

Wellness Exams
We believe that preventive care is important in the health of your pet. Regular exams are a vital part of your pet’s healthcare plan. We recommend all cats and dogs receive a yearly physical exam, though more frequent exams may be preferred depending upon the age of your pet and his or her physical health.

Microchipping
It’s estimated that 1 in 3 pets will go missing at some point in their life. Our hospital uses microchips, which are small rice-sized devices that are placed under your pet’s skin. Once placed, a microchip acts as your pet’s permanent ID storing important information such as your address and phone number. If your pet is lost, any veterinary hospital, animal shelter, or animal control can scan your pet with a microchip reader, and quickly return your pet to you.

Laboratory
When your pet is sick, you want results fast. Our hospital is equipped with a full suite of in-house diagnostic laboratory machines giving us the ability to run complete blood counts, chemistry panels, and urinalysis while you wait. With results quickly in hand, our doctors can then make the best recommendations for treating your pet.
